Novel Coronavirus advice

Hi Sarina,

Victorian Cricket Clubs and Associations should be aware of current health warnings issued by the Victorian Department of Health and Federal Government regarding the Novel Coronavirus outbreak. Cricket Victoria strongly advises Clubs and Associations to take appropriate precautions in respect to maintaining the health and safety of people involved in cricket throughout Victoria – including players, officials and volunteers.

Cricket Victoria’s recommendation (in line with the current Victorian Government position) is:

Cricket Victoria is advising all people involved in cricket at any level (players, volunteers, officials, supporters) who have visited the city of Wuhan and the broader Hubei Province in mainland China to stay home and avoid training sessions, matches and cricket activities until 14 days after departure from Hubei Province. Anyone who has been in close contact with a confirmed case of 2019-nCoV should also stay at home and avoid training sessions, matches and cricket activities until 14 days after their last contact.

Further updates will be provided as updated information is made available to Cricket Victoria.
